Stoke-Ness Gift Guide

I started writing Stoke-Ness to share things I like and things I think are worth a closer look. That was nearly three years ago, and since then, my favorite friends and fans have subscribed to catch some enthusiasm.

It only makes sense that I would share a list of what I want for Christmas or what I will be gifting. None of these are affiliate links, though some of the things are products I have made or from brands I have worked with in the past. Of course, they are all things I am stoked on and wanted to share with you.

Enjoy - Isaac

Dig Deep Journal

I had heard for years that journaling was good for my mental health. It’s a reset to start or end your day with. I wanted to try it, but a blank page made it hard to do even when I wasn’t feeling it. Meg found the Dig Deeper journal. It has prompts to make journaling easier and guide you through growing as a person. I think it has been the best purchase of 2023.

Pocket Knife

I lost my pocket knife I had for thirteen years while on a multi-day hiking trip in the desert. It was a great pocket knife but was missing some of the features I really wanted.

Here is my list for the perfect pocket knife:

  • Invisible feel in my pocket

  • Sheepsfoot blade so I can use it to turn screws and pry without breaking the point.

  • Locking blade

  • Wood handle to patina well

This is so far impossible to find without paying $400, but WESN sent me their Samla knife, and it is nearly a perfect fit. Even without a locking blade, I still prefer it to my lost pocket knife (which I recently found =). Let’s hope for 15 years with this blade.

Japanese Notepad

I’ve used these for years . I love the grid pattern + quality of the paper. They come in all sizes, lined or blank.

Three things I am selling that you might want to gift or get for yourself:

  1. The Pitch Deck Kit. Both kits and the bundle are on sale for the next week.

  2. My Creative Live course: I made a course designed to get your dream of being a freelancer photographer off the ground. I just read some of the reviews from the 1,700 hundred students and I’m blushing. It seems folks enjoy it.

  3. Prints: I haven’t done a print sale in years, and ran out of time to do one this month. I am, however, opening my entire catalog for prints if you want one. Take a look at my website or IG to see what you can have in a print. Starting at $50 for an 11”x7”, I would love to make a bespoke print for you for a gift. Message me for details.

Buscadero Motorcycle or Hat

My second favorite motorcycle ever is the Buscadero BSX140. The guys at Buscadero sent me this bike after I made a review of their last model. This one proves to be better in every way and more powerful for the larger folks among us (I weigh 200 lbs and it rips). It is only $2400 for this moto and I think that qualifies as a self-bought Christmas present territory.

If you can't get the bike, get this hat in blue and yellow. I did.

Thanks for reading and happy holidays. Honestly, if you don't need anything, then keep your hard-earned money and live with a content heart. It’s really the best way to be.

Be stoked - Isaac
